How Much Pesticide is Enough?

Many human diseases can be attributed to the presence of pesticides in our foods. Everything from cancers, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, immune deficiencies (especially!), lung and nerve damage, asthma, hay fever, and lots of allergies- all of these afflictions stem from pesticides

There is no doubt that unless the foods sold in markets are “organically grown and processed in accordance with the California organic foods act of 1990,” they have been infected with pesticides.

Little do most consumers realize, is that the most concentrated amount of pesticides can be found in MEAT.

55% of the Chlorinated hydrocarbon pesticide residues in the United States diet is supplied by meat. 23% of the pesticide residues are supplied by dairy products, 6% by vegetables, 4% by fruits, and only 1% is by grains. These are tremendous differences in the amount of pesticides used. Because the chances for livestock becoming infected with viruses, diseases, and many other health hazards, are much higher than vegetables or grains, high amounts of pesticides and other chemicals are used on ANIMALS. It just so happens that because of the readiness and excess with which pesticides are used on cattle, the amount of pesticides consumed through meat is significantly greater than other foods.

Insecticides are used on animals in many creative ways. Sprays, dips, pour-ons, spot-ons, dusts, injectables, feed additives, insecticide ear tags, baits, pastes, and boluses. All of these processes aim to make the animal himself resistant to pests (though if these pesticides really worked, most certainly they’d be successful in keeping humans away). It is similar to the plants that are now genetically modified to be pesticides.

Non-vegetarians would like to think of organic meat as a solution- or alternative- to consuming concentrated amounts of pesticides in today’s mainstream meat selection. I do not however, wish to advocate organic meat. All meat products in general, are toxic (even without chemical additives) for the human body and soul. Meat is not only high in cholesterol, saturated fat, and toxins (e.g. like URIC ACID, the pre-urine which occurs in all meat regardless of whether chemicals and pesticides were used), but it hardens our hearts. The eating of animals allows us to continue to violate Nature (and tolerate the violation of Nature) with our sick desire to lord over Her.

But I’ve no doubt that Mother Nature has her own pesticides to get rid of the human pest problem?and there’s a pretty good chance her pesticides work better than the ones we’ve made.
