Leaves and ripe berries.

Bilberry contains bioflavonoids, which are powerful antioxidants.

* Traditionally bilberry was used in Northern Europe and North America for conditions such as diarrhea, kidney stones, urinary tract infections and scurvy.
* More recently, bilberry has been used for strengthening connective tissue and capillaries, and to improve blood flow. Bilberry is also used as a diuretic, for urinary tract infections, inflammation, hypoglycemia, stress, improving night vision and myopia, cataracts and is also thought to prevent macular degeneration.

Use according to label instruction.

* Bilberry reduces the absorption of iron. * Taking bilberry at high doses or for prolonged periods can cause poisoning.
