Doses and rice cooking

The average doses for a portion are of 50 g for soups, 70 g for side dishes, 100 g for risotto, salads and desserts.

The cooking times for a successful dish of rice are only indicative as they may vary according to taste. You may be aware, however, that a too long cooking reduces the nutritional value of rice, while cooking it too short makes it less digestible. As cooking time are basic, we can say that the common-normal rice cooks in 12 minutes, the semi-polished rice in 13 minutes and brown rice in 16 minutes.
