Is Ginkgo biloba damaging to the female reproductive system?

Ginkgo has been studied for its effects in premenstrual syndrome, impotence and anti-depressant-induced sexual dysfunction. It also has been studied for use with depression, peripheral arterial insufficiency, macular degeneration, dementia, tinnitus and damage to the cochlea and allergies.

The findings? Ginkgo is extremely safe and side effects are uncommon. However, it should be avoided if the patient is taking an anticoagulant medication. If any, side effects that might occur are gastrointestinal discomfort, headache and dizziness.
