- 9 Golden Delicious apples, chopped
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tbsp brown sugar or 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1. In a 4-quart saucepan, combine the apples, lemon juice, sugar or honey, water and cinnamon. Cover and place over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring frequently, for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the apples are very tender.
2. Transfer to a large bowl, coarsely mash, cover, and chill.

Also, I would recommend this sauce with pork. If you don’t eat pork, chicken works great :)
