Jorjette Cheese Balls recipe 1

  • 1 stick (1/4 lb.) butter or margarine
  • 10-oz. stick extra sharp cheese – shredded
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 medium onion – grated
  • Garlic powder (at least 1 teaspoon, or to taste)

Put all above ingredients in large bowl & when softened mix thoroughly by hand. Place contents in smaller bowl & refrigerate until well chilled. Remove & form into 2 or 3 balls. Roll in cracked pepper or chopped nuts. Freeze if desired. Also may be frozen first and thawed, then rolled in pepper or nuts.
