Onion Dill Bread

1 package active dry yeast
2-1/2 cups bread flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 unbeaten egg, room temp
1/4 cup water
3/4 cup cream-style cottage cheese (I use low fat)
3/4 cup sour cream (once again I use low or fat free)
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons minced dried onion
2 tablespoons dill seed
1-1/2 tablespoon butter (I use olive oil)

  • In bread machine pan, place first four ingredients in the order given.
  • In a saucepan, combine remaining ingredients and heat just until warm (do not boil)
  • Pour into the bread pan.
  • Select white bread setting.
  • Bake according to bread machine directions.

Yield: 1 large loaf

The dill in here makes me think more of caraway seeds. It is so easy to make and I like to put an herb butter on it when I eat it. Enjoy…
