I have been walking for a few months and i already want to prepare myself for the cold season. I was wondering how people keep up with a walking program in the cold. What sort of things should I wear when going on my walks? (I walk really fast so I sweat a lot).
Everybody’s different, but here’s what I like to wear when it gets cold: Long underwear, a turtleneck, a pair of fleece pants and jacket or a windbreaker jacket, a headband and gloves.
It’s important to be warm, but not too warm. You should feel a little chilly when you first head outdoors, but you’ll be warm after 10 minutes of brisk walking. There are so many great fabrics out there for sports activists. The most important thing is to layer so you can peel off stuff or open zippers to vent body heat.
